Daily Checklist

This is a simple yet effective tool to help improve your happiness.  It is based on the teachings from happiness science from edX offered by UC Berkeley.  Just create a recurring calendar event for each day at the same time.  In the body of the event, copy and paste the link to a Google Form below:


At the google form, you are prompted to click any items you did each day (as seen below).


Check all the social interactions that apply to your day:
  • Yes: I had three acts of kindness
  • Yes: I shared positive emotions with a stranger or someone I don’t know well
  • Yes: I really connected with someone close to me
  • Yes: I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to try something new with someone
  • Yes: I told at least two people “thank you” in a meaningful way
  • Yes: I made plans for doing something I really like with someone at a future date

Check all the self-care items that apply to your day:
  • Yes: I had at least 8 hours of sleep last night
  • Yes: I was active or exercised for at least 30 minutes
  • Yes: I made healthy food choices that give me good energy
  • Yes: I meditated or sat quietly with my eyes closed for at least 15 minutes today
  • Yes: I wrote about the awesomeness in my life
  • Yes: I spent time in nature or in awe of our cool planet
